Conferences, trade shows, workshops, and panel discussions – that’s our daily life. And in between? Sports in Moravia, nature adventures, and a touch of celebration. In 2024, we combined science, research, and innovation with philanthropy, culture, and collaboration with young talents.
Technology with Tradition
This year, we celebrated three significant anniversaries:
- 33 years of the MICRORISC brand and its "IQ."
- 25 years of MICRORISC Technology s.r.o.'s modern existence.
- 20 years since our research into wireless technologies began.
Looking back at our early steps with the IQRF wireless transceiver reminded us why we do this – to combine the magic of technology with tangible benefits for the world.
A Year of Innovations
This year, we launched a new automated robotic production line, taking our manufacturing capabilities to the next level. Meanwhile, we shared our research and development results on the international stage. We presented at leading conferences like Microchip European MASTERs in Berlin, Wireless Congress in Munich, and Embedded World in Nuremberg. At Light&Building in Frankfurt, we demonstrated how IQRF technology delivers smart lighting and efficient network management.
Sharing and Education
Collaboration with academia remains our priority. During the Week of the Czech Academy of Sciences, we delivered lectures on modern technologies. At the ATHENS program at the Czech Technical University (CTU), we educated students from across Europe, and at the IQRF Meet-up in Wroclaw, we showcased our technologies in action. The "Best Student" competition once again highlighted four extraordinary high school students, reminding us of the importance of investing in future talents.
Beyond Technology: People and Culture
MICRORISC was also a proud partner of the Jičín – City of Fairy Tales festival, where we turned a theater into a tech park full of inspiration for young explorers. We supported the Apropo charity event in Jičín, participated in charitable projects at the Philanthropy Exchange in the Hradec Králové Region, and blended science with art through artistic objects made from electronic waste by industrial design students.
Sports and Social Achievements
Our team secured second place at the MORAVA BIKE cycling race – a thrilling teambuilding event full of adrenaline. We also added sports activities to our anniversary celebrations, culminating in a magical show at Hrubá Skála Castle.
MICRORISC in 2024 wasn’t just about technology. It was about people, collaboration, innovation, and sharing the joy of success. It was about what gives meaning to our research – the future we’re creating together. And yes, we had quite a bit of fun along the way.
