For 24 years, something truly special has been happening in Jičín. Every November, the stage of the Masaryk Theatre lights up not only with spotlights but also with humanity, courage, and authenticity.
The charity event organized by Apropo Jičín, proudly supported by MICRORISC, carries this year’s theme: “A Normal Life with Disability” – a heartfelt reminder that normality has many forms.
Saturday, 15 November 2025 – Masaryk Theatre, Jičín
The stage will feature Apropo’s clients performing alongside professional actors and musicians under the direction of dramaturge Anna Strnadová.
Through four true stories, the performance explores universal themes – love, family, growing up, separation – this time from the perspective of those whose voices are often unheard.
A highlight of the evening will be the launch of Postižiny, a new magazine written by journalists from Deník N, Seznam Zprávy, Czech Radio, and CNN Prima News. The godfather of the publication will be Václav Žmolík, a well-known Czech journalist and presenter, supporting the idea of challenging social prejudices.
Postižiny = a cut in thinking.
The title playfully echoes Hrabal’s Cutting It Short (Postřižiny), reflecting the same lightness, kindness, and humanity in portraying the world of people with disabilities – different, yet equally full of joy, love, and life.
At MICRORISC, we believe that innovation only matters when it helps people.
We thank Apropo Jičín for their tireless work and inspiration.
